University Assessment

This is just a wee post to cover a few bases in which I have to link relevant pages and other blogs! This is a perfect time to mention my band, Hello Magpie. That is the facebook page so make sure to like it, as we will be posting songs in the near future!

And to mention a blog.....who else but Alexandra! She is one of my favourite people and her blog is awesome so go check that out. She updates her blog much more than I!

That will be all for this wee post but I will be posting a songs on the facebook page and a video blog (which I need to edit) of my epic adventure to the land of Aberdeen.

Peace and love all!

The Small Things in Life

I have become to realise that appreciating the small things in life is the way forward. Over the years I've sort of begun to take more photos as alot of small things tend to amuse me. I'm not simple, don't get me wrong, I'm just appreciating the small things in life. Here are a bunch of photos I've taken over the past year or so of small things that have made me laugh.

I've just realised how many photos I've taken of  small things that make me laugh so this is now part one. Enjoy!

Went to a Foo Fighters gig and there was something quite surreal about having four Barak Obamas appear infront of me. I couldn't not take a photo; those guys were really funny!

Casually walking through a ruin of ancient Egypt and stumble upon what can only be described as an "Indiana Jones" moment. Once I had told this to the tour and got a few laughs, my dad dared my to stick my hand through it. I didn't.

In Glasgow just before a gig and notice that students had yet again put a traffic cone on this famous statue. No matter how many times the police take it down, within days, it will be back up on there. Classic Glasgow!

Ok, this one just confused me. Genuinely what the hell is Emo Oil.

I cracked the eggs into a bowl I was was making breakfast. Quite normal. Turns out it looks like a smiley face. It was quite sad how amused I was by this one.

I then gave it a 'pepper mustache'. Don't judge me.

Made chili and rice annnnnnd it looks like a pokeball! Brilliant. For those of you who don't know what a pokeball is, I feel sorry for you.

Last day of school and someone went around, making all of the circular lights into smiley faces. Nothing malicious, just something that I found funny!

Tractors and Hayfever

So I woke up on the morning of the 18th to a phonecall from one of my childhood friends Gordon; a Farmer who lives up the road. He was asking me to join him to go and "shake down a field", whatever that was. Seeing as I am unemployed, not at university, living in the middle of nowhere with nothing else better do to I said yes.
The journey down to Ecclefechan (brilliant name) was actually pretty funny. I was just sitting in the most awkward position possible, looking at all the people staring at us thinking "He's too young to be driving a tractor!" or "That's dangerous!". They didn't approve.

Anyway we made it to the field and I bumped into Gordon's uncle Don, which was cool because I hadn't seen him in ages. Then there was three hours of this.

It wasn't hideously boring, Gordon has good chat.

I had to stop a good four times to sneeze my lungs out and empty my sinuses as the hayfever was insane. But, this did give me an opportunity to phone Morag, a good friend from Edinburgh who I hadn't talked to in ages and take some photos.

(Panorama cause I'm an artistic bastard) So I jumped back in the tractor and continued snapping.

It was taken through a window so it didn't come out as sunny and fantastic as I wanted but that is what a field looks like after it is 'shaken down'.

University. An Introduction.

So I decided to start this blog as an output. I have no idea how to do these so here it goes! Just to pre-warn you it will be filled with immature stories about my first year at uni and rants about really small things that bug me. Obviously just ranting at people in real life wasn't enough.

So my first year at university was pretty crazy. Made some great friends, met some complete nut cases but it was one of the best, if not the best, year of my life. We've had some crazy nights out and crazy nights in, which I will blog about later (with videos), and attended some lectures while at it. I'll introduce you to the crew of misfits for future reference.
This is Eddie/Ed/Edgar, the only person I knew from back home. I like to wind him up but I love him really. He's a good un' he is!

Cameron/Camcam(right), Jack/Capt'n (left). Cameron is Northern Irish, Jack is one of Ed's friends from back home. Never had a bad night out with Cameron and I can talk to Jack about almost everything. Both very cool guys.

Ahh Christopher/Chris/Del Shagger! Very funny guy who has very random moments which will make you laugh until you cry. What a darlin'. And yes that is me trying to eat him arm. Don't judge.

They are the folks I'm sharing a flat with next year and I'm looking forward to it so much. Roll on second year dudes!
